We used effect size as a measure to determine the best EEG epoch duration for the detection of hypoglycemia episodes. In addition, Clarke's error grid analysis confirms the correlation between hypoglycemia and EEG spectral moments of this optimal time window, with 86% of clinically acceptable estimated blood glucose values.

This paper presents new EEG spectral features for nocturnal hypoglycemia detection. We find that these spectral moments of theta band and alpha band changed significantly.

In this work, a hybrid technique of swarm-based support vector machine (SVM) is introduced for hypoglycemia detection using ECG parameters as inputs.

From our clinical study of 16 children with T1D, natural occurrence of nocturnal-hypoglycemic episodes was associated with increased heart rates and increased corrected QT intervals.
